About Us
Zephyr Education was created to provide a clear and dedicated identity for the education services delivered by Standring Brown Health Ltd. Having delivered education and training independently since 2022, we are now bringing these services together under a specialist education brand with a clear focus on learner outcomes, professional development, and accredited qualifications.
To ensure our courses offer the quality your learners deserve they are accredited by the awarding body NCFE who confirm the levels based on the Ofqual regulated qualifications framework (RQF) and provide certificates of accreditation to our learners on successful completion of their course. We are in addition, an ARTP listed provider which means we are committed to delivering spirometry training at ARTP standards.
Alongside our existing training provision, we are preparing to launch level 5 Asthma and COPD diploma module qualifications in 2027 and expand our role as a trusted provider of workforce education across Yorkshire. We will also aim to diversify our spirometry course options. At Zephyr Education we specialise in supportive face to face education.
Professional Biography
Nicola Standring-Brown
Director, Zephyr Education
Nicola Standring-Brown is the Director of Zephyr Education and a highly experienced respiratory nurse, educator, and clinical leader. Following many years working in specialist respiratory services, she has spent the last decade within primary care, including leadership roles such as Clinical Lead for Children and Young People’s Asthma in South Yorkshire.
Nicola currently serves on the Primary Care Respiratory Society (PCRS) Executive Committee and the Asthma + Lung UK Council of Health Professionals, contributing to the development of respiratory care and education at both regional and national levels.
Alongside her clinical leadership responsibilities, Nicola has extensive experience designing and delivering healthcare education. She is passionate about developing confident, competent healthcare professionals and supporting workforce development through evidence-based, practical learning.
As a Queen’s Nurse, Nicola is recognised for her commitment to high-quality care, leadership, and professional development. Through Zephyr Education, she brings together clinical expertise, educational experience, and a strong understanding of workforce needs to support healthcare professionals and organisations in delivering excellent patient care.
